I am really doubtful he can keep it up at this pace for another five years. His body is really taking a beating. I give him another two full years at the current peak.
Don't get me wrong, Nadal is a great player and he will hang around tennis for a long time but not at the current pace of dominating clay and being a serious contender at grand slams. On the other hand, I see Federer being at his current or close to current peak for a long time, at least five years. What do you guys think?

It seems like only 2 guys right now. Not much competition from the rest. Anyone here old enough to remember these players?

Borg, Connors, McEnroe, Lendl, Edberg, Becker, Wilander, Sampras, Courrier, Chang, Agassi, Muster, Kafelnikov, Rafter, Ivanisevic, etc. :)

I especially like the matches between Lendl & McEnroe, Edberg & Becker, Edberg & Lendl, and of course Sampras & Agassi. What is your favorite match up? Please share :)

The first point in a tennis game is scored officially as "15-Love", but a lot of tennis players say "5-Love" instead. Where does the 5 come from?

Same crap! Almost every woman has the exact same game, save Justine Henin and Amelie Mauresmo.

Same Western Forehand, same two handed backhand, same loud, obnoxious grunting, same allergy to playing any type of attacking, net tennis.

Why this boring, cookie cutter dynamic pervades the women's game, I have no idea? Does anyone else know?

okay. so i'm on my highschool tennis team. unlike me, the team plays to win, not hit good strokes, so everyone's stroke is awful, but if gets the ball in the court. When i play someone, they always lob it back to me and i'll hit it as hard as i can and they will hit a huge high slow shot back over and over and eventually i make a mistake. In the short term, i know this is a good strategy to win, but in the long term i know good players will pound those lobs down. I also know these huge shots are good when used correctly, but definetly not every shot. My aim is to be pro (don't tell i can't be one. i know i can. i'm not trying to be full of it but i have confidence in myself) so i really want to learn how to just finish these high slow shots by hitting a fast winner. How do the pros do it? where does all that pace come from? how do they cruh the shot? should i hit at my opponet's feet? far away? so help please how do i crush those super slow high shots? thanks!

I think Sharapova is much more sportive and mature than the Williams sisters. This is ironic because Sharapova is much younger than them. Sharapova lost to 30th seed Radwanska in 3rd round but she didn't make any excuse for herself. This is what she say during her post-match interview: "You got to give her (Radwanska) a lot of credit for finishing the match and winning it. A lot of girls in her position on a big stage in a big stadium against a top player sometimes get a little nervous. She held on there, and all the credit to her for winning the match." "There's no excuses (for me). It's not like today I stepped out on the wrong side of the bed or I did something differently. Like I said, I'm going to have these types of days where although I might be up a break in the third set, but it just doesn't go my way."

What do you think?
