Same crap! Almost every woman has the exact same game, save Justine Henin and Amelie Mauresmo.
Same Western Forehand, same two handed backhand, same loud, obnoxious grunting, same allergy to playing any type of attacking, net tennis.
Why this boring, cookie cutter dynamic pervades the women's game, I have no idea? Does anyone else know?

while i don't agree that women's tennis is pathetic i think that one of the problems is that players start so young that nuanced games are a thing of the past.
learning to volley and attack takes longer than learning to pound away at the ground strokes the way so many players do now.
if you saw the women's doubles finals you would have heard tracey austin talking about how in the last 10 years or so, the women's game has been redefined as not a strictly attacking game.
this is stunning to me.
i have never seen professional doubles played in this fashion - a statement as to how little doubles is covered.
i don't think it would be a bad idea for the wta and the usta to not allow players to be in tournaments until they have either graduated college or turned at least 21 years old.
the average lifespan of a pro tennis player is seven years - if players start at 14 they end up retiring in their early 20's.
too young.
this is just the start of the many things that i think are wrong with the 'modern' game of tennis.
also why tennis is almost never covered in the usa...

what the hell is the difference? That is a ridiculous comment. Men's tennis is less competitive than Women's right now. Of course you have Nadal, Federer and Djokovic at the top. I won't even include Ferrer or Davydenko because they can barely get to the Quarters in most of the majors. The ranked players are the ones who are pathetic. The qualifiers are the ones who comes in and embarrass them. And for the first posting about you not like watching women hit from the baseline- you obviously don't watch tennis very often because the men actually do this as much as the women- if not more. Tennis has turned into a power sport but it has begun to change back to your Sampras, Graf, etc days

its not that no one knows, its that no one cares. if you dont like watching women play tennis, then dont watch them, simple as that. or try starting your own women's tennis school or something, and try changing their "pathetic cookie cutter dynamic " game, instead of just complaining about it
