I didn't see the press conference. I certainly hope it was better than her sisters because it couldn't really get any worse outside of Venus callinng her a cracker or something. Some of the people that have commented in here amaze me that they continue to cover for the Williams sisters, "hating them because they're sisters", what an ignorant comment. I don't like them because they do follow their dad's lead. They have no clue how to show good sportsmanship. And to say that we need to remember that they're human and get sick or not play well? You need to remind Serena about that, she was the one who started this mess anyways.

I mean seriously, would it have killed her to say I was outplayed today? But her ego won't allow it. I think its funny how when Serena got behind how that mysterious limp of hers always pops up. If they want to compete and prove to the world that they're the best then do the time and do the work and quit settling for playing a few tournaments so they can get any easier draw to the semi's. Otherwise stick to designing those hidious looking clothes they do, more players need to wear boots onto the court.

She handled herself extremely well. She received attention from the trainer during the match but refused a medical timeout when she could have taken one. I watched the press conference on the US Open website and she did not look well to me. She gave Henin credit for playing well and spoke about counting her blessings. She also mentioned that she was not 100 percent at Wimbledon, although she won.

I think it is important to remember that athletes are human beings---they get sick, they have bad days, they have their moods like the rest of us do. Mary Carillo mentioned during the broadcast of the semi-final that the Williams sisters "get on with it". They don't belabor bad calls or take unfair advantage of medical timeouts. She said that they don't try to take any point that they did not earn. (Can't say that for Justine).

I urge everyone to check out Venus' interview on the US Open website.

It doesn't matter what they say, people will always hate on them just because they are the Williams sisters.
