Well dis is what u need .........

Drink more. Three hours before a match, drink a little more water than usual— especially in warm weather—up until one hour before you play. And eat what works for you. “Some people load up on carbs, some prefer protein,” Mountford says. “Now isn’t the time to alter your regular eating habits.”

Arrive early. You need some time to settle your nerves and soak in the environment. You want to avoid feeling rushed walking onto the court.

Get the blood flowing. Do some dynamic stretching—jog in place and do lunges, torso twists, and arm rotations. Then try to hit for 15 minutes. “Some warmup hitting will let you find your rhythm before the match starts,” Mountford says. If you can’t hit, jump rope for a few minutes. As you start to perspire a little, your nerves should begin to dissipate.

If You Want to Know how to prepare yourself before the tournament starts chck da below link very beneficial!!!!

The night before load carbs. My favorite meal is chicken parmesean, mashed potatoes and bread. Burritos are good. Pasta is good. For breakfast bananas and oatmeal or toast and honey. Drink lots and lots of water the night before and in the morning. Save the gatorade for after the match to help replenish. Drinking it befor or during may cause a sugar crash and it tends to lay heavy in the stomache.

I usually drink Gatorade or something like that...but make sure u don’t drink too much...if not u would be running to the washroom every now and then. I ate banana ones...just before my badminton tournament and my stomach was sooo full the whole time...it wasn’t convenient...so i would say wat ever u eat eat it atleast 2-3 hrs before but keep urself hyderated the whole time..and maybe eat like few oranges or somthing to feel fresh just before going in...anyway I would say just before going in...a limited amount of Gatorade is Ur best bet. Good luck!
