i noticed that tennis players switch rackets during a match. some switch quite often while others switch once or twice during a whole match. Im guessing its the strings?

I heard that they both use an eastern grip for their forehand. Just wondering if it's true. Also, would it be a good idea to change to an eastern grip? It seems more solid.

I know Justine is at the top of her game and she keeps winning many titles, but will she be able to defend all of these titles next year? I mean she has won eight already and i don't think next year she will win easily, as there are many great players like "Sharapova,Ivanovic,Kuznetsova,The Williams, etc"who can stop her. Do u agree?

i love love love richard gasquet he is soooo cute. he's one of my favorites.he's a great player, he's the highest ranked frenchman and he has a great one handed backhand ( he took out andy roddick with it in wimbledon)...roger federer said he is his favorite and he likes to watch his matches.

richard gasquet is my favorite...after nole djokovic, ofcourse.

what do you think?

I saw a video Maria Sharapova playing in Russia and it seemed to me that she went back to her old service motion. The one that was long and not the short one she used during the US Open. Why do u think she went back to her old serve instead if just keeeping the same way? I don't understand how she lost in the 2nd round because if u look at players like Elena Dementieva she has a terrible serve but can still win. Hopefully Maria can come back and be the Champoin she truly is.

I know sometimes it is obvious they can't reach the ball, but sometimes it really looks like if they just moved instead of stutter stepping they'd be able to reach the ball. At least that's how it looks on the TV, it could be totally different on the court.

I've never shopped for a new tennis racquet all on my own before and I'm not quite sure how to go about it. I've played tennis for a year now and I want a new one.

I know I want either a Prince or Wilson racquet but what should I look for in a tennis racquet?

Btw money is not a matter for me. So any prince will do as long as it's good.

I have a Wilson Tennis bag and I want to buy a new Prince Raquet. But then some of my friends are saying that's weird having a Prince racquet and a Wilson bag...

What's your opinion?

hey all,

i'm seeking suggestions as to which tennis strings to buy.

racket: wilson pro staff graphite halo (2001, head size 103sq",
265g)

ability: enthusiastic hacker. very average! not huge swing/spin - but improving.

me: 5'6'', 58kg, male.

i've heard that hybrid strings are pretty good - and some pros use different material for the cross & horizontal strings.
any hints would be appreciated.

cheers
