I saw the match he had at Wimbledon with Roddick, and I could not believe how incredible his backhand was. With the kind of game Richard has, he's got top 10 potential easily. He'sgotta stay healthy, stay consistent, and get more big match experience. Gasquet has the kind of game that could beat anyone in the top 10, including Federer, Nadal, and "Nole" Djokovic. He's extremely talented, and it won't be long before he hits the big time. I enjoy watching him, and yeah, he's pretty hot looking too.

Richard Gasquet is an awesome player and in the future I can easily see himl winning a few grandslam titles. He has the best backhand in the world right now and a lot of variety in his game. Richard Gasquet is a superior player than Andy Roddick (technically) but the reason why Roddick is ranked higher than him is because Roddick is the more consistent player. Gasquet usually has very up and down results throughout the year and doesn't always go very far at the big events. But he is still pretty young and continuing to improve. Barring injury, it won't be long before Gasquet is consistently in the top 5.

He's my favorite too. His backhand is amazing, and should be ranked higher than his ranking now(7). He should atleast be 4, or anywhere above Roddick. Roddick has power, but not a lot of game. They're both great players, but I prefer Gasquet.

I think he's really talented. The backhand is one of the best ones in the sport at the moment, it completely destroyed Roddick at Wimbledon the last three sets.
He's almost like Tatiana Golovin (his mixed partner when they won Roland Garros together a few years ago); they're both really talented and has what it takes to be at the top, but still looking for that breakthrough.
Btw, Djokovic is my favorite too ;-)

Gasquet is an exciting player right behind Nadal....the reason for his inconsistency is that he is an offensive player.....he likes to go for shots, keeping the pressures on opponents and of course he will lose a few if his A game is not there on a given night.....his one handed backhand is one of the best in the world but the best is still belong to Federer....

Yes, he is a very enjoyable player to watch. I got a chance to see what kind of game he had when he played against Andy Roddick at Wimbledon and was very impressed. This week he's at #11 on the ATP rankings according to the ATP tennis weekly program that runs on The Tennis Channel.

Unfortunately, none of them will as long as the big 3 (Fed, Rafa and Joker) are around for the next 5 years. Jo and Monfils are too injury prone and Gasquet, though amazing talent, has a confidence issue.
