It makes it easier to see the ball, especially on TV.

Its just a copy of the US Open court and it takes away the uniqueness of Australia's colors which would have been the only green hardcourt slam. And green is one of Australia's national colors so I'm a little disappointed. Of more importance is the speed and I've heard it will be alot faster, closer to the US Open speed meaning rallies will be shorter, players will spend less time in the sun, and guys with big serves and ground strokes will profit (Federer, Roddick, Djokovic, Blake).

I think that they should've kept the green courts. The blue do look nice but I really liked the color that they had before because it was sort of bright. Another reason I think they should've kept the green, is because the US Open already has blue courts, so all of the grand slams would've had different color courts (except Wimbledon but it is a different surface.)

I think it's lovely too. I think it will help to see the ball in both TV and live. I do agree with it copying the US Open, but you know what? It's all blue and the US Open is green & blue. I can't wait to see how fast these courts are, too.

I'm glad that they are going to use blue courts like the U.S. Open does because it will make it easier to see the ball.

the colour looks nice, but it now looks like a copy of the US open courts, except that it has blue surroundings, instead of green at the US.

I preferred the green better but the court surface is also different (plexicushion), it has many more advantages compared to the previous surface and should be better for the players

I like it to but the australian open is kinda known for its bright colored ( green and yellow) courts rite? its part of what makes it the australian open. i agree it does help see the ball better. other than that i like it too. i just like patrioticism of the green and yellow courts.

Hardcourts suck, a real tennis court should be made of red clay
