to the answerer who said "show me a good loser...." simple look at the mens no.1 fedex...he lost to rafa..he lost to djokovic...did he say that rafa's lucky on clay??? did he say the novak got lucky in montreal??? answers no Mate...he lost...plain simple...he lost...he gave em credit...for giving him a good fight...

but serena? NO...she has to say that anyone that beats her is lucky...that the womens world no.1 just has that many lucky shots...either that or justine must be carrying like 365 shamrocks under her costume, a rabbits foot, and any other lucky charms just to beat serena...

justines dedication, training, and world ranking all doesnt count...its just because she has soooooooo much luck....soooooo many lucky shots...

well i guess its more like serena vs the rest of the world...since she dislikes everyone else just as much...cant she just own up and admit that she lost to a better player?

i cant understand whats soo hard about admitting that you got beat by a better player? 3 meetings this year...3 losses...it says something sister...and it takes more then luck!

NOPE! The press should be ashamed of themselves. You don't focus on one comment especially when she made many comments which were props to Henin. Damn shame.

JC you are right about Justin. I remember when she did that to Mauresmo. I felt sorry for Mauresmo but in the end, Mauresmo was smiling away. That was so funny to me. It was like she was so happy but at the same time she didnt feel comfortable smiling because she basically won by default. lol. And lets not forget how Henin threw that Michael Jackson hand up while playing Serena and didn't fess up. This is way more classless than some words taken out of context.

I love Serena, but she was classless after her loss. She said that justine got some lucky shots, then her lucky must of ran out. I think that she was not playing her best and justine just put it to her. I really think that serena's heart is not in the game. she seems to have other things on her mind.

You can definitely make a case that she is classless. This is the fourth time in a row that she lost to Justine Henin. Serena needs to give credit where credit is due. Since she is a pretty sore loser, not gonna happen. On the other hand, it makes it that much more enjoyable to watch her lose.

The press is over-hyping Serena's less-than-cordial comments after her loss. She can be accused of being a sore loser but, "classless?" That seems extreme.

While I have great admiration for Justine Henin's game, I think her bowing out of the French Open final and denying Amelie Mauresmo the chance to beat her for the title was way worse than not giving someone her props.

I dont think she was classless i think she acted like n e other highly competitive person. she first said henin played better that was her first comment but everyone use is sooo weird about the comment "she made lucky shots" thats one comment people give me a break lets be serious here. other than that she was very upset with herself n didnt say n e thing else during the conference other than she didnt wanna talk she basically did the same thing sharapova did we she ost neither of them wanted to talk much n they are both very competitive. i would be as well is i lost to Henin 3 times n the roll NOT 4 even though i wouldnt count wimbledon cuz she wasnt a 100% but hey n everyone knows is shes in the match she can beat Henin look back to MIA sony ericsson open. she wasnt in this match n to be honest from the way she look she wasnt in the tournement period but thats just my point of view either like it or you dont i could careless.

I think she was totally classless. It's typical behavior. So many of today's mega millionaire athletes came from dirt poor backgrounds. Heck, I'd call most of them social climbing, new rich phonies.

They get paid so much to play a game based on their god-given talent and the ease with which an athlete can make $50 million is ludicrous. With all this easy money that our twisted, celebrity-obsessed society throws at them, we ought to expect no better than spoiled, classless behavior from our athletic heroes! When you make "easy" money, you probably don't learn respect and etiquette. That's my take.

Yes... sadly. She was acting like a sore loser and maybe more upset at herself than anyone else. Perhaps it is being directed outwardly as to save her own ego. Who knows.... but for someone with milliion dollar ad contracts, she'd better watch herself...

Absolutely. This is not the first time she has spewed the usual Serena sour grapes after losing a match to a clearly superior player.

"Lucky shots"... Give me a break.

well she certainly wasn't gracious, but she is hardly alone.

when the yankees lost that amazing and heart breaking series to the red sox in 2004 - joe torre, in his interview afterwards, did not say a single word about the remarkable accomplishment of the red sox and their determination, etc.

not a word - and i don't remember anyone in the press saying a thing about it.

serena is not perfect - so what else is news?
