I was watching the match of Nadal with some guy ranked 15th name David Fererr and he seem to have an answer for every hit Nadal made. Nadal couldn't shake him off. Towards the end, Nadal new he wasn't going to pull it out, he started to retaped his knees. On the 4th set, Nadal kind of got hurt from going after the ball so fast, he grabbed his knee and went down. I don't know if it's actually painful or if he's just crying like a baby knowing he can't dig himself out of the hole. I'm all pissed now that he lost.

Yeah I know what you mean. I was almost at the point of ripping my hair out. However, he did feel real pain.
I was expecting him to get knocked out though. His hard-court game isn't the best, as this match proved. One thing I noticed was that his shots were mostly short, as in service line short. Ferrer was a beast today. This match reminded me of a Nadal vs Youzhny match I saw before, I forget when and where. Youzhny took Nadal's game apart.

He played too much at the beginning/middle part of the year. He played so much, that we wore himself out too quickly, not giving himself a fair shot a winning the U.S. Open. People still aren't convinced that he can bring his "A" game to the hard courts. He's gotta readjust his schedule for 2008. It's the only way he'll prevent wearing himself out again. He doesn't need to play all the tournaments on clay, because we know that's his best surface. He doesn't need to prove anything else on clay. It's the fast surfaces where he's got a lot to prove.

Also, he needs improvements to his game. He needs to have a bigger serve, play more inside the baseline, and come to the net more often. It will take pressure off his game if he can come to net and do well.

I hate to see Federer just breeze through tournaments with no real challenge. Rafa's time at the Open will come, but only when he steps up his game on the fast surfaces, and keeps himself healthy. He's still da man!!

He's been having a lot of problems with his knees and when I saw the look on his face during one of the last changeovers he had a very sad look in his eyes. He was really hurting a lot. The commentators mentioned before the match even started that it would be a real test to see if Rafael could hold on in the tournament especially after the struggle during his first round match.

But I truly enjoyed the match.

Damn dude, Nadal is my least favorite player in tennis but he put his heart and soul into that match. Ferrer was just the better man, it happens. Give Nadal a break. !!! Oh my god, did I just say that ?????

He wasn't playing like "himself." He's definately hurting. He was guessing where all Ferrer shots were going.
