I have always been a swimmer, my other half can't swim. We are going on holiday soon and have a private pool and I want to help him to swim. The problem is he just sinks when he takes his feet off the ground. I always float automatically. I don't get why he sinks. Can anyone help with this one? He just won't float unless I am supporting him.

Started to learn swimming last month. Have been swimming at least 3 times a week for practice. However, I can't swim full lap cuz I get tired very easily. Why is that? I guess I still need to work on my swimming technique. I had a cramp the other day, and I'm still in a bit pain. I can't wait to go back to the pool (I pay $68 monthly at YMCA) I'm also a bit of afraid going to deep water. The pool isn't deep; it's just from 4 to 6.5 ft. I just don't know whenever I pass the 5ft line, I get nervous and my swimming style starts to fall apart. I had a private trainer for 5 days, and I was able to swim to 9ft deep (different pool).

I don't understand why they're tinted in so many colors when most glasses or contact lenses aren't

Plus, I prefer being able to see things clearly while I'm swimming, but maybe that's just me...

ok I'm really bored so let's do some statistics stuff:

How old were you when you started swimming (splashing around doesn't count ;-) )

and at what age did you first became interested in compeditive swimming?

While we're at this, how many years have you been swimming now

and what are your times for the 50M free, 100M breast, and 50M back?

After 4 weeks of training the time has now come to start counting both the lengths and the £pounds coming in for a great charity.

Is anyone out there going to do this challenge? If you are let me know how you're getting on.

This is the first time I've done anything like this and I'm actually looking forward to getting underway!

So I want to build a private pool in my yard. The bigger the pool, the more expensive it is going to be. A 25 meter (82ft) pool would be ideal, but too big and expensive. A 6 meter (20ft) pool is affordable, but too small.

What is the absolute minimum length for a pool to swim laps in?

The size of the yard is not a limiting factor; it's pretty big.

what kind of anti fog do goggles manufacturers use/spray that can last longer than those we spray which last for only an hour or so.

What is the correct method to spray anti fog onto swimming goggles so that the effect last longer,as good as when new.
