Also is the 20mins thing true? I think it's about your muscles recovering and you should eat something during that time.

After swim practice I ride my bike home (takes 15 mins). Should I eat after I get home or right after practice?

I'm basically a better than average swimmer and I'm used to doing breaststroke. When I learnt freestyle I got into the habit of breathing on my right, never on my left.
Yes I know that is bad for the shoulders but if I try to breath on my left water gets into my ears, into my mouth, and I keep sinking even if I maintain kicking.
I'm ok at breathing on my right. Nothing happens. But if I do it on my left I get to almost drowning state. Can anyone give some advice?
(and yes I'm practicing 5 days/ week and I know I am going to get better in time but I want to know what I can do to improve my breathing)

American media and fashion have been after the speedo for years. Did speedo manufactures get their sales so bad they had to come up with a wetsuit?

Hi everyone,

I was a club swimmer for years and just picked up the sport again. I forgot how dry my skin gets after every swim. Maybe its because my local pool is so nasty anyway. But if you swim many times a week, you cant keep using expensive/perfumed body lotion. If I leave it my skin tends to overcompensate and I end up with spots on my face. How do you regular swimmers keep your skin healthy?
