Hi everyone,

I was a club swimmer for years and just picked up the sport again. I forgot how dry my skin gets after every swim. Maybe its because my local pool is so nasty anyway. But if you swim many times a week, you cant keep using expensive/perfumed body lotion. If I leave it my skin tends to overcompensate and I end up with spots on my face. How do you regular swimmers keep your skin healthy?

use "palmers moisturizing bath oil" it is not expensive (u don't need to use it in a bath, just rub it over wet skin after a shower, u don't need to towel dry)

that is what i use, very effective, skin is never dry or oily, just perfectly smooth and soft

Yea I have that problem too! Its awful isnt it? Use a facial and body lotion everytime after you get out of the shower. The lotion seals in the moisture from the shower and keeps your skin hydrated. Also, Keep putting extra lotion on periodically, whenever you start to feel dry. Dont use a scented lotion because that tends to irritate chlorinated skin.

Good Luck and I hope you find something that works!

Hi I've been swimming for 7 years and yes i do have dry skin. Its probably from the chlorine. U probably get sun spots or ur alergic to the lotion u use. I just use PONDS dry skin cream u can try that.

Yeah !!! Have the same problem ... Best to use a deep moisturising cream after the pool as the chlorine really is harsh on the skin ...

Keep going !!!!

Don't use a regular body moisturizer for your face. Use a lighter, face specific moisturizer. I think L'Oreal has a good men's brand out there now.
