I was on my high school swim team and loved it. It is an individual sport in some ways and yet a great team sport too. You would think that swimming all those laps would be boring, but it gives you time to think and plus you get totally toned!! Nothing gives you a better body. Although I dont know why it would cost that much money. Just join your school team and it will be a lot cheaper. But if you have that kinda money to throw around go ahead, you wont regret it.

I swam competitively for about 7 years and it was a great experience. I swam for the local swim club and my high school team and the friends I made in those years are still my closests friends now. It is a great way to stay in shape and push yourself to b the best you can possibly be. If you can afford the cost, which i'm not sure why it would cost that much, you should definitely do it. Now, 10 years after being out of school, my son is swimming for the same local team that I swam for and his coach is a friend that I swam with all those years ago. I say go for it.

Wow, only if you are really willing to commit to it, and have the money. I was a swimmer for years, never paying nearly as much as you. It can be a really tough sport, and practice can be a total stitch. You have to have heart to enjoy it. If you have the cash, I say go for it.
