her dad wants to take em too. he has 11 stents in his heart. do u think the dr. will let him take lessons??

It's very unlikely. Divers deal with gasses dissolved in the bloodstream and soft tissues. Even though we spend time gassing off during deco stops and safety stops, there's still some dissolved gas and micro bubbles left. It could be an issue with someone with clogged arteries and the stents may actually cause a large enough bubble to form to lead to an embolism.
Check with the Doc, he may allow it under certain circumstances, but I doubt it.

He would need to go to his doctor and talk to him and probably have a good exam first to be safe.
