Hunting - November 2006

I shoot ducks with a Winchester 20 guage pump action. But lately it has been jamming up when I eject the shells. I have considered buying a semi automatic but don't want to spend useless money if it isn't more reliable. Please help

i have an 8 year old daughter that i love to be active with.i have been taking her fishing since she was prob 3 years old.she has shot a .22 caliber rifle under my supervision of course.she just loves to be outside with her good ol dad.
now my problem and question is this.............it is now hunting season and she wants me to take her hunting(deer).she asks me everytime i go.well i have to tell her "no".wells he asked me if it is because she will be too noisy.i tell her no it is because she is still to young to hunt.am i right in telling her this,or should i go ahead and take her with me?i dont want her to lose any interest in hunting.what should i do?

i would have to say that the armalite ar-10 TB chambered in 300 RSAUM would b. water cooled hbar that doubles as a sniper rifle oo baby. i would customize it with a 30 inch free floating barrel

i recently tested out this liner sock along with my merino wool sock and it only gives me warmth for about 2 hours at 35 degrees. my boots are at a 400 gram insulation and the cold is starting to put me inside the house and not up the tree, let alone the temperature hasnt even drop down far yet. i did put in some heat packs but we all know how uncomfortable and unflexible that is, plus they arent even that warm unless you shake it from time to time. if your a hunter, you dont want to be out there doing the hustle. is there any other way that i can keep my feet warm for at least 3 to 5 hours without spending all my money? is there anything else that some of you might do to solve the trick? please tell, i appreciate it, thanks!

Hi,

What is the difference between:

Boxlock
Semi-Auto
Pump Action
Semi Auto and Pump

They are all types of shotguns. What are the differences please?
Also, in the UK, I believe Pump Action shotguns (under a shotgun license) are restricted to 2+1 shotshells.
How does that work if the magazine only takes 2?

I'm debating whether to surprise my husband with a shotgun for Christmas. We're moving to hunting country next summer, so I'd like to get him a versatile bird gun to start with. He does shoot left-handed, so I'd greatly appreciate any recommendations from other southpaws. The one I'm currently considering is the Remington 870, since it comes in a left-handed model.

Even if it turns out to not be exactly what he wants, I figure that it's a start and we can always get more. :) I'm a rifle girl myself and fairly clueless about shotguns.
