check the terms of your conviction and the laws in the state regarding felonies...you could even contact the DNR and have them check in some states....it usually goes by your SSN.

as a convicted felon, you can hunt with anything you want. You may not be able to purchase a hunting license or similar depending on where you live, but bow hunting and probably muzzle load hunting is probably OK.
I think the law reads ownership and possession are forbidden for firearms, so you might stretch it a bit.

I am in law enforcement. I Believe that it varies by state on bow/crossbow. Depending on your violation and how long ago it was, you can petition the court to have it expunged from your record. If you are still on probation or parole, then check with your po to make sure that it doesn't violate your rules. Don't let a few days in the woods lock you up for a lot of days. Good luck and happy hunting.

I spent a few years on probation in Montana and I could hunt with a bow, but not a cross-bow. To find out for sure, ask your P.O. they will probably authorize it. If you've completed probation/parole then contact the Judge who sentanced you. They're usually pretty cooperative

You absolutely can and there is absolutely no reason why you should not be allowed. People gotta eat. Screw PETA. You made a mistake-as long as you didn't shoot someone with a bow-we forgive you. I'm a hunter myself -I encourage responsible hunting-if you do that...Hunt away baby!!!!!!

it can be a state regulation, and because you probably did no longer let us know from which state you're... kinda makes it no longer effortless for us :). verify your legislations, from what I study maximum states don't have regulations on bow searching.
