Same thing. No significant difference. Armalite has a slightly better reoutation. There are some much nicer AR-15s being built by other vendors. Go to ar15.com and poke around the forums.

Gene Stoner, of Armalite INVENTED the AR-15. (AR, stands for Armalite!.....But the AR designation was liscensed to Colt, leading to newer designations.) Bushmaster, makes some fine rifles, But for absolute Quality... Stick with the ORIGINAL!

If I was you I would take a look at the Saiga in .223. As long as you clean about every 3000 - 5000 and give it a drop of oil every 1000-2000 rounds it will work forever. I have one and love it. you can also get 30 round mags for it.

Armalite's quality control has gone to sh it. If you haven to buy one of those, buy the bushy.

You would be far better off to buy a lower reciever and a mil-spec parts kit and build it yourself... that way you don't pay excize tax. For $600 you could build a rifle that bushmaster wants 1k for.
