I'm talking about the barrel link and slide-stop alignment in particular, how do you know that everything has been aligned correctly and reassembled? I'm guessing that if everything was put back together and the slide will lock to the rear properly, then everything is ok.

Go easy on me, I'm new to this.

I went walking with a group of friends. We must have walked approx 6 miles. I had flat sensible shoes on and it was around the local area/streets. I came home with really sore feet/blisters on both feet, no-one else did. What did I do wrong?? Is there anything I can put on my skin to harden it up so I can walk further?? Is there anything that can help to heal blisters??
