Project Excelsior, 1960. Capt. Joseph Kittinger jumped from a balloon at an altitude of 102800 feet, traveling at supersonic speeds during freefall.
As to the first comment, not even close. Heck, I've jumped at over 10000 feet.

Have no clue. But it wouldn't bother me if Osama bin Ladin tried it - without a parachute - and landed on Hugo Chevez or Kim Jong il. You remember him; the brother of Mentally-iLL! The most I have ever heard of a free-fall is 167 MPH. It's imposible to free-fall at supersonic speed. I think the Airforce tested re-tested and then tested again about the fre-fall speed.
