We are setting value for my Uncle's estate and found two old handguns curious as to value.
1. Harrington & Richardson Worchester, MA serial number 582 - pistol
2. On barrel stamped The American Double Action with serial number 18093
One with ivory(?) grip has 1/4" chip both used not sure what to call the condition.
On the American Double Action there is another stamp on barrel can't read most of the lettering but the first two readable characters are 44.
Thanks

Like just general fishing. I'm eager to go fishing but don't want to get caught illegally fishing. I can't find the date on the WDNR website..

My dad left two guns to my son. Now the kid is curious as to what they are. I have NO CLUE. I am having a really hard time finding info through web searches because I don't know if this is a shotgun, rifle, whatever...I don't know what any of the marks mean.

Anyhow...here is what I can see.

~It's a long gun
~There's some kind of doo-dad that looks like a trigger that you pull to open the barrel to load it
~One side says: GARDONE V.T. ITALY - M.A.V.I. and COMPANION Pat. n. 45382-54476
~The other side says: 410 GAUGE 3" and EAGLE ARMS N.Y.N.Y.
~Both sides have a coat-of-arms-looking symbol with a knight's head on top and inside: ARMS AMMUNITION and J L G

Any information...or even steering me toward useful websites much appreciated.

I don't fish in the winter. I'm actually a bass, pike, musky and trout man. Fishing lakes and rivers are my favorite. What are yours.

out of all the mechanical broadheads out there, people have their own idea of a nice head. is there a particaular one that the majority just feel is the better fieldtip characteristic flying broadhead? i wanna know who thinks what is the best and is it supported by others ..?

im trying to buy some but don't know which heads to choose. i just want a penetrating wide enough cut head without alot of tuning and for the broadhead to not control the arrow flight so much.

Did one animal out smart you ? Or did you get lucky. Any cool stories?

My luckiest was an ermine. I had a cubby set with a 3 30 conibear baited with a grouse carcase, targeting a lynx. For two weeks an ermine was going in and out and eating on it. Finally, the ermine got gready and took the grouse out with him. the grouse set off and was caught by the conibear, and the ermine was hit by the trap jaw going by him. It killed him but didn't catch him. He was laying outside the cuby dead with a grouse caught in my trap.
All most sounds like Asope made it up.
