We are setting value for my Uncle's estate and found two old handguns curious as to value.
1. Harrington & Richardson Worchester, MA serial number 582 - pistol
2. On barrel stamped The American Double Action with serial number 18093
One with ivory(?) grip has 1/4" chip both used not sure what to call the condition.
On the American Double Action there is another stamp on barrel can't read most of the lettering but the first two readable characters are 44.
Thanks

There is an annual publication called the "Blue Book of Gun Values" which would tell you of what the have been selling for over the last few years by condition with 6 or 7 grades. Generally older revolvers, unless they are Colts or Smith and Wessons or something very exotic, are not very valuable. usually selling for $75-200 depending on condition.

The H&R, only an estimate since you don't know the model, will usually go in the $100-125 neighborhood.

The American DA will go around $100 depending on condition.

Neither is really collectible or valuable. You would come out best if you just kept them for your own use.

Phvswbts gave you a good answer, but even Smith and Wesson pocket top-break revolvers generally do not bring much money. Pocket revolvers were so common back then. Flayderman's is another good book for antique american firearms.

Really hard to guess.
The H&R could go Ten's of thousands if it is complete working c.1880s.
Don't quit your job yet!
You need to check laws for transporting them and get to a gun show, you will find experts with possible bidding war.
