Talkin about the Ryder Cup where Europe demolished the Americans again. My personal choice for a new rule would be that Tiger Woods has to be on the Europe team. That would even things up a bit haha. Your opinions please..

As a European, are you pleased with winning the Ryder Cup - does the fact that it was against an self-confident "superpower" make the win all the sweeter? As an American, are you bothered or as disinterested as some of the American team seemed to be? As a UK citizen, did you prefer it when it was just Great Britain and Ireland or are you glad this bit of sporting Euro-bonding takes place? As a non-UK European, is this competition of interest?

Why do you think it is that US golfers are so good at individual strokeplay competitions compared to Europeans, and yet the Europeans thrash them at team strokeplay. This isn't intended as a "ha ha, you got gubbed" question, I'm really wondering why this is the case.
The last European to win a Major was Paul Lawrie in 1999, and the last European on the Ryder Cup team to win one was Olazabal at the Masters of the same year.
Since then, US golfers have won over 20 Majors, to Europe's none.

This was a gift. It feels right but I'm not sure how to use it. Is my grip the same as for a normal putter? Does the butt end of the putter have to touch my belly and, if so, where - my tummy button / above it / below it?

then I've seen him hit a 9 iron over 180 yards already too. Which is it?
I realize that wind can cause these differences also but I think there is more involved here. And how far should a perfectly struck 5 iron travell on the fly? Hit with a forged blade by a semi-decent player?

And is this amount added to their career total.
Also, are the Ryder Cup team winners automatically invited to some PGA tournaments like the Sony Open in Hawaii?

It was a wonderful match - I'm no prude - and they deserved to celebrate. But when watching Darren Clark down a pint of Guinness in one with encouragement from a baying crowd - I couldn’t help but think what would the media say if this was Wayne Rooney downing a pint of Stella in England won the World Cup - cries of binge drinking, setting a bad example etc....
