It Appeared that the fans understood a good shot from a bad shot and there was a lot less of (your the man and get in the hole)stuff like we hear in the States ?

i think the fans this week have been great! they say its the loudest its ever been! its FANTASTIC......i think they were so well manered compared to the Americans as they have very little respect as they boo at the Europeans, however this week i thought at the K Club the fans really boosted the Europeans and also had respect for the Americans as well

Fantastic result, I nearly started when I saw Darren Clarke end his game and start crying, someone give that man a medal, it seem the Europeans as one were doing it for Darren, and the camaraderie showed that, as to your question the fans also were knowledgeable enough on the golfing background to realise what was going on, and the Irish fans there just simply aren't brought up to shout get in the hole at every opportunity. Americans take a leaf out of the Europeans book and play as a team.

Thought the fans were superb as was the golf although I did hear some daft yank shout 'in the hole' as Tiger tee'd off on a par 5. I know he's good but c'mon! Maybe they should give every yank a test to see whether or not they know enough to get in? Questions could be:

What colour is the ball?
a: white; b: black; c: pink; d: yellow

What do you call the thing they hit the ball with?
a: bat; b: stick; c: club d: spangle

What is your name?
a: Chad; b: Buck; c: Cleetus d: George P. Clingon the Third

How are you related to your mother? She's your...
a: wife; b: sister; c: brother; d: uncle

Do you have a passport?
a: yes; b: no; c: What's a passport?

Irish fans are the best in the world did you see how they supported darren clark i think that really ment alot to him after his wifes death.I think the us team need to learn how to play as a team and also learn to enjoy the ryder cup.If fans see the players enjoying the game then its easier for fans to join in.As for the comments standing applause and cheers means more to a player than your the man,In the us fans that go to games are not real fans more like rich boys going just to say they were there this does not happen as much in europe.Unfortunatly the real fans get screwed in the us what working class person goes to more than 1 or so games a year in any sport

Here you go man!!!

Darren Clarke !! Yes he lost his wife, but even otherwise, goddamm he played, the PUtt on 12th on sunday! My god !

I think the americans have just proven that they are conceted as a nation, they dont have a US national team worth its weight in any team sport. Whenever they play thier "SELF INVENTED TEAM SPORTS" its always "ALL AMERICAN" look at NFL, NHL, MLB, NBA its all thier own sports and thier own championships.

Its hightime they played real international sports as a team, SOCCER for example, its a global sport, why do they get shot out in the leagues.

At the Ryder cup, they proved that they were not a team , weak knuckle punches, no bonding, bad body language, it was all a mess ! Look at the fire Sergio & Lee Westwood carried, just to name the top 2 most fired. the eurpoeans at thier worst hugged eachother after a put went in, More often than not they stopped short of humping legs!
But our "AMERICANS" you didnt see a high five even. You cant win team sports without having that "to die for" spirit, not at this level.

I think they need to sit down and understand that there is a world beyond the red white and blue, 5.7Billion people live there and each and everyone is better than you! Ryder cup just proved that americans are all fart !

They try to make it a team sport. It is for the Europeans but the guys from the good old USA are so individually oriented. The fans understand this over there as well. Making them more gracious and understanding of the game.

loving the answer above just shows how brave people get behind a keyboard and no I'm not a yank!
the fans were great again but all golf fans are anyways you very rarely see riot police at such events anyway so how do you expect them to be they have what you would call respect for such talented players(Europeans) great victory for Europe.... again.

tally hoe.....

The fans at the K Club were sportsmen ( & women ) - well, the european contingent were !! - I can't remember which european player it was but he creamed his tee shot in to the lake & I heard a yank (in that annoying tone) shout "in the water" as the ball veered in that direction.

- They hav'nt got a clue.

- As demonstrated by the scum at augusta every year.

- And all them yankees about to reply by saying 'it was other yankees & you cant judge us all'.................. - yes I can judge you cos if you cant 'police' each other at a golf course, where can you ?? U are a joke.
