What happened on the pitch is a simple reflexion of what happens in society today, you just need to look at this notice board to see that. It’s about time we all took responsibility for how we should conduct ourselves.

I think both players should be forced to give one another a public apology for their behavior and severe repercussions should be put in place to deal with future verbal or physical abuse at ALL levels of the sport, that means trainers aswell (Mr Aragones).

There should be no acceptable form of abuse in a civilized society.

Has anybody else heard that Lehmann based his decision to stay on Klinsmann's decision? And if so, has anybody heard what Lehmann had to say to Klinsmann's resignation? Is he leaving Germany now?

Does anyone know the music they play in-stadium at the end of the World Cup, particularly the Final (during the awards ceremony)? It was phenominal. Kind of orchestral/triumphant. There were three songs. First was almost like a samba and then the next two were more "classical" sounding. I have to find out! Amazing.

I can't believe it. He has done such a great job and where does that leave the german team? The new guy is a soccer teacher, I guess not a national player himself like Klinsmann. What kind of job is he going to do? And then I heard that Lehmann had his decision to leave or stay riding on Klinsmann's decision. Has anyone heard if he is leaving too, now? What a blow to Germany, especially with Kahn gone too.

Zidane was discovered in the Marseille housing project La Castellane by a scout for AS Cannes, and shortly after arriving at the club on the French Riviera he punched a player who allegedly made a derogatory remark.
In 1998, Zidane stomped on a prone Saudi Arabian player in a World Cup group match in full view of the referee. He was red-carded and served a two-match suspension, returning in the quarterfinals to help lead France to the championship.
Zidane spent five seasons at Juventus of Turin, and in the fall of 2000 he was red-carded in consecutive UEFA Champions League matches. He was ejected for a malicious studs-up challenge against Spain's Deportivo La Coruna, served a one-match suspension, then returned against Germany's Hamburg SV and head butted Jochen Kientz in the 27th minute of what would be a 3-1 loss. Kientz suffered a concussion and a fractured cheekbone, and Zidane was handed a five-match ban.
In this tournament he recieved 3 yellow cards and escaped a 4th.

I'm from Germany and I want to know what people from the United States think about the soccer World Cup, if you have been impressed by the game and the enthusiasm and if you can comprehend the enthusiasm. I mean there are not many goals in this game, but most people in Europe think it's incredibly thrilling.

Everyone is saying that Poor Zizou has retired from football but no one knows this new piece of information that he is serisouly contemplating about moving to Spain and particiapte in "Bull Figthing" as a Bull. After what I saw on the Final, it looks like he has decided to join bull figting and become a bull himself. I am sure he would excel in the bull fighting sports. In fact, he can be one of the strongest "Bulls" ever. I was stunned to see when he took Matzzarani down with one strike who is really big and strong. So Beware all the "bulls' cos here comes the Dad of all the Bulls: "Zizou." "Toro Zizou, Toro"
Any comments ?

We can't understand why C. Ronaldo didn't get yellow cards for time-wasting. Every match we saw him play in, he was behaving like a baby, throwing himself down repeatedly and rolling around, even though the replays showed no one touched him, no one was even close to him. Is he mentally ill? Is he a cry-baby? Was he trying to get free kicks or time added? Why no yellow cards for the infant? Does anyone have any ideas??
