I think World Cup is way overrated.
First, you hear people who haven't seen football in years talk about football when it's the world cup. It's like no one knows shít but everyone has something to say.
When they hand out awards like Ballon d'or, etc.....
It seems that world cup is taken way too much in count. What the **** has Cannavaro done except a few good matches against the feared Ukraine, the stunning Australia, the powerful USA. And getting dribbled all night by John Carew.
Anyway, I agree with Wenger, FIFA is a terrible organization, Sepp Blatter publicly excused to Australia for the penalty awarded to Italy. So what does it mean to be World Champs, when the president sez "Well if you think about it, mabe you didn't deserve to be in QFs, you see the ref made a little mistake". Wenger also states that in World Cup we see a poor level of football and I agree, we saw some of the most boring matches of the year, and it was a waste of time. Please watch the UCL or Premiership.

Well my friend is obssessed with soccer so she wanted to know something, actually more like I wanted to know something so she'd quit lecturing me about it. Why isn't there females in the world cup? She thinks that girls can play a lot better than guys and should be able to play in the world cup. She also thinks that girls understand the point of soccer a lot more than the guys do.

the italians only deserve 3 of the 4 stars.
How can I get through to him that we deserved all 4?
or should I focus on the fact that he rarely has "accidents" anymore on the carpet.
Perhaps I should give him a star everyday he doesn't mess the rug so when he gets to 4 he can relate to the azzuri and form a common bond with the team.

the English Premier League way of playing or the Italian Serie A??

the english have fast long ball attacking style, with few times defending the ball...keepers and defenders have to be on their toes in a place where truly defenders and keepers deserve all credit.

the italians have a fast small ball passing technique. They are full of the technique of passing and passing and passing until a foward or an offensive player shoots. This is a place where midfielders are lauded since they make clever passes to fowards and must know when to or to whom to pass.
