Well, it appears that the great Zidane is an honest man. He did not fall for the British media trap set in front of him. He could have easily said that Materazzi called me a "dirty terrorist". He didn't. Materazzi said something "about his sister and possibly mother". The British Press should be ashamed of themselves once again....will they ever be credible? What a misfoutain of information. How much did they pay these so called lip readers? What do you think?

I've just listened to the French Interview with Zidane - here is a quick English explanation?

He apologized to the kids but says he does not regret what he did as Materazzi asked for it. He refused to repeat the actual words, saying if you can lip read (Italian) you will see what he said but Materrazi gave some serious insults (regarding his mother/sister) and repeated it 3 times, on hearing it the 3rd time he reacted. He said that if he is punished he expects Materazzi to be punished aswell

Why all the fuss about Zidane? He disgraced himself AGAIN - leave him in disgrace!?

Everyone was insulting each other on the pitch - just because he is a muslim does not mean that here also he should get special treatment - especially as this is not the first time that he has done this - but no-one mentions that do they? Come on France you played well but Italy won - however you lost in disgrace due to the Zidane incident and he should not be forgiven for that reason, he brought you disgrace on the international field. Never mind writing a song - hold him to account and make him apologise to the international community.

because he made his career more historical. it's like 5,000 people say his name every minute and 10,000 people type his name on the net to discuss what he did.

Why do soccer players act like wild animals when they make goal? SERIOUSLY?

zidane didn't exaggerate when he did two from the last two games he played, well nice thing about him.

players usually act like as if they've already won or something.
