Well, it appears that the great Zidane is an honest man. He did not fall for the British media trap set in front of him. He could have easily said that Materazzi called me a "dirty terrorist". He didn't. Materazzi said something "about his sister and possibly mother". The British Press should be ashamed of themselves once again....will they ever be credible? What a misfoutain of information. How much did they pay these so called lip readers? What do you think?

They are bunch of idiots. Why didnt you ask me, I read his lips on the day of the incident. I love technology, pause, slow motion.
Look mate here is the truth:
They go back and forth the whole game. Zidane as well was full of insults. And so was Materazzi. They are bot known villains anyway. They have both had their share of red cards in their careers and suspensions (Zidane 13)
Materazzi pulled his jersey. Zidane said "if you like it so much I will give it to you after we win the game"
Materazzi said "I'd rather take it off your sister"
No mentioning of mom. And even if there was common trash taling that we all use even on the playground.
Zidane should give a lengthy apology for tarnishing the sport. Not just to the kids. to all the viewers.

The British media just wanted to attract more customers by revealing something that everyone is dying to hear about - and the way they do that is by employing lip readers. From a marketing point of view, if this means you will sell more papers, why not?? All news sources are meant to be taken with a grain of salt because of issues such as hegemony and bias, so calling the media liars and instigators is a bit too far, just don't believe everything you read.

Zidane said that if you know to read on the lips, you will understand what Materazzi said. And he added that the press had already done that...so they didn't lied!

I agree with you. Zidane could have said Materazzi called him a terrorist or his mother a terrorist wh***. That would have maybe justified him. If he didn't, it's because it wasn't true.

all media make up things, report things that are not true and write things just to get ratings. I wish the media were held accountable when they say things that are not true.
