I totally agree with justme.

Zidane went out at the very end. If they had done that on purpose, just to send him off, they'd have done it earlier, don't you think?

Plus, Trezeguet was probably going to kick that penalty anyway. Zidane would have taken one too, instead of someone else, but definitely not instead of Trezeguet, who is one of the strongest players in the French team.

It was totally fair. Don't forget the game would have never gotten to penalty shoot out if it wasn't for a horrible call that gave France their only goal of the game. Far worse that the Aussie Italian game.

Yes Italy deserved to win. There was NO excuse for head butting in the chest whatever was said. Remember it's meant to be a sport.

oh please. He didn't leave til the end and there was no score while France was a man down so it didn't matter anyway. France got the free kick while Italy didn't even get credit for a goal for offsides....It was a close game, but fair in my opinion! (BTW - It was the only game I watched and I could care less who won, so I'm pretty impartial :)

yes it is true that if Zizou was still in they would have won , but italy still won fair and square for me it's all on Barthez and that guy who missed the shot

There's no fairness here, the World Cup is always won by a good team with the best luck. this year was no exception.

Zizou did attack them of his own free will. It's France's fault for him not keeping his anger in check.
