My wife and I are both big San Francisco 49ers fans. We are from the San Fran Bay Area and moved to Columbus a few years ago. The 49ers are playing the brown on Dec 30th and are thinking about going to the game.

However a few years ago we went to the Bengals/49ers game in Cincy and it was awful. People threw beer bottles and snowballs at us. She called my wife a hore. Real classy.

Anyways, do you think it would be enjoyable or should we just watch it from the conformt of our local bar?

Like the Saints after Katrina, we should root for the Falcons to be successful in the wake of Mike Vick's B.S. I am not a Falcon fan, but I will root hard for them this year to make it to the playoffs, and forget about Vick forever! Whaddya think?

After he crashed into a pole.Was he scared of getting into trouble with the NFL? Obviously, if he wasnt in trouble with the law before, he is now. So, do you think he will or should be suspened? I dont know the whole story so feel free to fill in the gaps for me. If the new commissioner doesnt ease up will we see more cover ups like this? If it was a cover up.

Atlanta still has some great playmakers on both sides of the ball, and a decent quarterback in Joey Harrington with a new coach Petrino.

I say NO. I think its ridiculous that these teams go on average 4 weeks between their last scheduled game and their bowl game, and yet people point to the bowl records as a legit way to judge a conference. I know that some will say its the only way to judge, but honestly Ive seen numerous bowl games where a team lost due to either layoff, or indeference (not to mention certain conferences have gerrymadered bowl mathcups; IE Pac-10 matching their 3rd against another conferences 5th). I think its silly to base a conference rank on bowl winning. Agree or disagree?
