Wrong, no. Publicly, maybe. Vick should have known that the badnewz kennels was something he should have let go of. Why he didn't is a better question. The prosecutors and the judge are following the law. Some people with this crime would do better, some worse, but Vick could have been first in line and gotten a lesser sentence, but since he pigheadedly decided he would plead not guilty knowing full well that he had been the financial backer of the dogfighting operation, that makes him stupid, not mistreated.

Do you think he treated numerous dogs wrong over the course of the last 6 years?
We don't know what the actual punishment will be at this time. However, I feel he should serve the full 5 years prison sentence and be banned from the NfL.
Not many of us want to look at this man's face on Sundays and be forced to picture tortured, starved, mutilated, dead dogs. Many of us do not want one red cent of our money to go into the pocket of a sadistic monster.
He has committed over the last six years a very heinous and serious disgusting act.
No, I don't think Michael Vick is getting half of what he DESERVES.

Shane E. who is the "they" in your reponse? "THEY had better let him back into the NFL". The fans of the Atlanta Falcons? The fans of their opponents? So.....even those these citizens feel this man is disgusting and they don't want to pay to see his face on Sunday, they are somehow morally or legally obligated to do so?
Or did you mean the management of the Falcons or the NFL? And again, even though their customers do not want to see this man's face, and are offended that he is making millions of dollars, they are somehow morally or legally obligated to do bring him back to his old job?
Wow. Should I have been legally forced to buy tuna, even when I was bothered by the fact that the fisherman were not careful enough about avoiding capturing and killing dolphins?
Should I be legally forced to buy an SUV, even though I don't need the room and feel it would be a waste of gas and would unnecessarily polute the air?
Should I be legally forced to buy an electric typewriter, even though I've replaced the functions of that device with something else?
You really seem to have some different ideas about market freedoms than my own. Is your last name Lenin or Marx? Or Castro?

first off...it makes me sick watching all these animal rights activists. Don't they realize how over the top and crazy they sound? Ray Lewis killed a guy, the next year got Superbowl MVP, people all over sports are being charged with taking drugs (steriods is not the only one), DUI's, rape charges, and yet all these players get free walks in the court of public opinion. You get involved in one thing involving animals, and all the crazies come out. Michael Vick did not proffess his guilt because of the media. Once you admit/or don't admit something, that gets taken so far out of context by the press. He waited for all the facts to come out before making an official statement, so that you could attach the statement to his face. Why is that wrong? Senators dodge the bullet all the time, and then come back and say...well i didn't mean it that way, what I meant was.... All I'm saying is...let the man serve his time. When he comes out...he is exhonoratted. Let the PETA people return to the animal shelters and fur factories they belong at.

He deserves to spend a small amount of time in jail.I have no problem with that. The problem I have is after. We are supposed to be forgiving people,as evidence of this I'm going to bring up Marv Albert,For those who don't know Marv is a well known sports commentator, who had some done some inappropriate acts that he was convicted for.He was charged with sodomy and kidnapping,he bit his victim's back, and it was told that he like to dress up in woman's underwear. Now having done all that Marv has done,he was abled to return back to what he loves to do.I have no problems with that, but I bet you Marv is still wearing woman's panties under his pants.NBC fired him then reinstated him after 2 years. After Mike does his time, I think he should be abled to resume his life,as for football if he is still abled to play I think he should be abled to resume his career. For those who say he shouldn't,I hope you don't ever do anything wrong in which you may seek some redemption.

He is rich and famous therefore making him an easy target for the media. Do I think the media is wrong with all the hype? Yes, however, he basks in the sunlight when they are building him up and he cetainly cannot hide in the shadows when they are tearing him down. Like the old expression, "You live by the sword and you die by the sword."
Is the punishment excessive? No and it could be worse because the judge hasn't passed sentence yet.

Absolutely Not!!! He deserves everything he gets, and then some, for torturing and murdering those poor, innocent, helpless dogs. What he did, was evil and sadistic!
