They will be destroyed by USC and Michigan they will play a little better against Penn and UCLA, I say 9-3 get a BCS bowl bid just because they are Notre Dame and get crushed in that game. But while we are on the subject, I don't have any disrespect to the history of this football program but that is what it is its history and I don't think they should be given a free ticket to a major bowl because of their past, that was then this is now. No other team in the nation has the benefit they do. They are not in a conference, but they are still automatic to a BCS bowl game, so is that to say if Navy was to be crushed by Michigan and SoCal then beat a handful of nobodies would they be going to say the Orange, Fiesta, Rose, or Sugar bowl? The answer is no, because they are not Notre Dame. No offense to Irish fans but this school needs to join a conference, a BCS conference that is, or put up a Boise State of last year season performance to get the honor of playing in a major bowl, and stop relying on their history...Joe Montana, Tim Brown, Paul Horning and countless others graduated years and years and years ago, and the history of ND's last 10 bowls don't look so hot.

I thought ND gave up football so their fans could concentrate on Cleveland Browns games.. lol j/k.. they'll be in some trouble.. 1) QB issue without Quinn who'll step up? 2) O-Line they lost em all.. 3) Defense.. well they didn't have one last year either.. 4) RB/WR.. graduation kills.. but a positive.. we'll see how good a college coach Charlie Wiess really is regardless of the outcome of the season

Well................

USC, Michigan,UCLA and Penn don't look pleasant, and Michigan St is a Question Mark.

The others should all be doable.........the iggest question will be what look our offense goes with. ( I think at least right now Demetrius is the best option.....but with Weis you just can't tell)

Problems for this season? No proven defense (but as Deacon said, nothing new there.....), all new O-line, though lasst years model was pretty worthless, and Clausen's ego(the kid already thinks he's the next Joe Montana)...also no Quinn, Samardzja, Ndukwe or Walker........

High points this season? Weis, Zibikowski, Carlson, and a new D-coordinator who uses packages that Weis is familiar with, and so should be a better implemented, more solid D.

7-5 or 6-6. They'll lose to Michigan, Penn State, USC, and UCLA, and drop one to two of the Georgia Tech/Purdue/Michigan State/Boston College set. The last four games are such a joke that half of Division III could beat those teams.

They will probably lose 3 or 4 games and still get into a BCS bowl game, just because they are Notre Dame. Then they will get trounced in that bowl game, and the nation will once again see that they didn't deserve to be there, same as last year.

The irish will win 4-6 games this year...way too many holes to fill on both sides....on paper right now i would say 4-6 but who knows Charlie Tuna may have some tricks up his sleeve....will wait and see
