Yes, I think USC will win the BCS this season. They are stacked on both sides of the line with 18 returning starters. Booty should put up Heisman-type numbers with a high-powered offensive scheme and the RB position is ridiculously deep. The receiving corps lost a couple of big play guys in Smith and Jarrett but have talent in Patrick Turner and possible breakouts in Ausberry and Holland.

On defense, like you said, their linebackers are an impressive trio, in my opinion the best in the nation. They have an incredibly strong front seven as most of the D-line returns from last year as well. The secondary is also deep with a slew of talented corners and safeties. Special teams is a question mark however. With the untimely death of kicker Mario Danelo, the job goes to untested guy in Buehler who has one career field goal.

There is definite potential for one or two upsets on the road. Their main test may come November 10 at Cal. But I think they get by a very tough Bears team, ending up 12-0 in the regular season and winning the BCS.

Should be a great college football season, can't wait for it to start!

No. Look for them to lose to a much improved Nebraska team on the road on Sep. 15. They have a way of playing up and down to certain opponents, so look for the big upset when they go into Oregon October 27th. Finally, look for either Notre Dame, or California to stun them. They will finish off with a 9-3 record. They will make a BCS bowl game and still have talk about playing in the Championship game over many 0 and 1 loss teams some how, because the media pollsters are idiots.

Negative. USC has all the talent, but they will choke at some point during the season (probably against either Nebraska, Cal, or UCLA). There will end up being two undefeated teams this year and they will play for the BCS championship. Those teams are LSU and WVU. WVU will pull out the upset and take it all for the first time ever.

No because this year's schedule is tougher than their usual cream puff slate. All of their tough contests are on the road and Booty doesn't perform well under pressure. I mean all USC had to do was beat an unranked UCLA team to make it to the championship game last year and they lose. People seem to forget about that game with what was on the line. To me it was the biggest upset in college football last year.
