This would use the "plus one" model, but different than you think. The BCS games would go back to being traditional. Big 10 and Pac 10 in Rose Bowl, exet. The Cotton Bowl would be added to keep the total amount of teams at ten.The winners of the 5 BCS bowl games would have a chance to go to the NC game. An NCAA chosen panel of media people and athletic directors would select two of the five teams to play for the title. I know right now you are saying "Why don't they just have the five teams play each other in a playoff?" Well, the reason is because that isn't going to happen. This is a realistic system that would improve everything. All the BCS games would matter. 10 teams would get a chance to qualify for the championship. Also, all the BCS bowls would be on January first. Could you imagine a day of five bowl games that all matter! That day would be a special spotlight for those five bowls. All other bowls would be moved back one day. A realistic, better system- what do you think?

I don't have any disrespect to the history of this football program but that is what it is its history and I don't think they should be given a free ticket to a major bowl because of their past, that was then this is now. No other team in the nation has the benefit they do. They are not in a conference, but they are still automatic to a BCS bowl game, so is that to say if Navy was to be crushed by Michigan and SoCal then beat a handful of nobodies would they be going to say the Orange, Fiesta, Rose, or Sugar bowl? The answer is no, because they are not Notre Dame. No offense to Irish fans but this school needs to join a conference, a BCS conference that is, or put up a Boise State of last year season performance to get the honor of playing in a major bowl, and stop relying on their history...Joe Montana, Tim Brown, Paul Horning and countless others graduated years and years and years ago, and the history of ND's last 10 bowls don't look so hot.

I would have to say yes. They should definatly lower it to 3 or even 2 games only. The chances of a player getting injured are just too high druring a 4 game preseason. Plus i am sick of ESPN analyzing preseason football like its the Super Bowl.

My cousin told me about it. He say he aint gonna get involved right now but he might if they really go ahead and do it. The dicrimination is definitly gettin out of hand. All the owner's and league executives are white dudes. Can you imagine being a young black man and trying to explain yoself to an 87 year old white man? How that man gonna know where you coming from?

Seriously, if Russell went back into the draft because this holdout has no end in sight, do you think he would be taken on the first day?

The Raiders dont have to kiss up to him. They have Culpepper and its not like they have a good enough team to make a serious run at the playoffs anyways. They can suck again next year and get McFadden, who is better then Russell.

You take away all them black player's in the NFL and what would you have. I will tell you what you will have, a buch of fatass, slow, offensive linemen. How can the NFL treat these black players like this? If it was not for them they would'nt be no NFL.
