then there was dogfighting

Vick's a disgrace to the pitbull breed
How would he feel, if HE had to bleed?
Wanting to feel all mighty & high,
while helpless animals suffer & die.
They only fight
because they have no choice-
They're silent companions
without a voice.
They were beautiful specimens, you all saw on the news
What a shame they were tortured & abused.
Loyal to their master, no matter what
And he had no heart, it mattered not-
That they have feelings
Like you & me.
So still they suffered
Silently.
Now they can each & all go home
to a place where they won't be so alone
He says he's learned, but it's just a game
Getting caught is his only shame.
Just one time
put him in the pit,

This is the story of Michael Vick
played college ball for Virginia Tech
number one draft pick in 2001
ran over defenders and made it look fun
So he played for the Falcons and coach Jim Mora
ran the ball real well, and threw it… well sorta.
he could get it downfield, could throw it a mile
even hit his receiver… once in a while.
But after the game, when he went out at night
he went to his kennel, where he bred dogs to fight
they’d battle and bite and eat up each other
man’s gotta have a hobby, don’t he my brother?
Only the strong dogs would fight, the weak ones got booted
well, technically they got electrocuted
or hung, or body slammed or killed with a knife
I guess that variety makes for a spicier life
But one day the cops came for Mikey’s punk friend
and put all the dog fights to a quick, public end
Mike lost his career but gained some new friends
who will all want some play time from his tight end.
So kids, you remember the tale that I tell
go ahead and play football, ‘cause it can pay well
but no matter how fast you run, or Nike shoes that you sell
guys who kill puppies go straight down to Hell.
