Veggie, you owe me an apology for accusing me of smoking crack or grass or whatever. I asked the question about Pros vs college games and you thought I was on drugs. Well go back to the question I asked and get educated on that phase of American Football.
As Far as your question goes, well, I'm not sure I understand the question. Owe them what? They earn a salary, just like everyone else. I do agree that ALL players should have a better pension plan. But I guess that slow fatass black offensive lineman hall of famer Art Shell isn't really black. You need to take some race relations classes, and throw in a sensitivity class with it.

Well, there would be a lot fewer felons in the ranks, that's for sure.
That being said, let's examine all the reverse racism in your post. Basically, white guys are slow, fat and physically inferior, while black guys are lean, muscular, paragons of athleticism.
Well, football was popular before black athletes played the game. And if you took away all "them" black players, it would still be popular. Because what you really don't seem to get is that the appeal of football is the strategy behind the game.
As far as how the NFL treats black players, you got me on that. Let's see...The NFL takes pituitary gland cases and pays them hundreds of thousands, even millions, of dollars a year to chase an inflated sac of leather up and down a hundred-yard-long tract of grass. They abuse the players even further by making them heroes, giving them opportunities to cash in even further with endorsement deals, and give them a nice-sized pension after they played a handful of years.
Yep, sounds like serious exploitation to me. Deal me in. I'm game for it.
Now, I'm guessing that you're referring to the Michael Vick case. If so, it wouldn't have mattered if Michael Vick was a black football star or a white Burger King manager from Indianapolis. He would have still been convicted of animal cruelty charges regardless of race. In fact, I would lay odds that Michael Vick got preferential treatment because he's a stud quarterback. If he had been the Burger King manager from Indianapolis, I'm certain he would have gotten five years at the very least.

Treat them like how? All the owners in the NFL owe them are the outrageous salaries they agreed to pay them. Nothing more than the next guy. There was an NFL before black players and there would be without them. Without them, maybe we would have more real news on the broadcasts rather than what player just got arrested.

Nobody is playing "for the love of the game". These guys are all being paid a fortune to play a kid's game & if it weren't for sports, most of these players (black & white) would be working in a factory or some other crap job. Very few of these kids get a college degree, even though they do "attend" a university& if weren't for sports, what kind of living would most be able to have? The world doesn't care how fast you can run the 40 or how many passes you caught or how many TD's you threw. These guys all owe the NFL, not visa versa.

I know you're a bit slow so I'll give you a break. Black or white.....playing in the NFL is a privilege and these guys get paid very well for it.
The NFL doesn't owe anybody anything. Stop trying to play the race card. You need to get over yourself and accept that there are dumbasses of all color....yourself included.

you sound rascist towards white people. get a grip. the nfl was begun by the whites and ran by mostly white players for the majority of history. it got a spark when black people emerged after the civil rights era. the nfl owes nothing when the black athlete earns his paycheck. if you're looking at all the black athletes being targeted for off field issues, well, it's not the nfl's fault they end up in hand cuffs! no, i'm not rascist. i just dont see how the nfl treats blacks poorly. honestly, your question is too irrational.

You are a racist B**ch fool. We ain't gotta do nothing for these black players. Doesn't that sentence sound like how you talk?
They are fortunate, like the rest of the athletes, to make the money they do playing a sport. Go get educated so you know how to talk properly, learn about discrimination, and maybe, just maybe, you will be a happier person with out all the spewed words of hate.

This question is stupid. The NFL pays it's players millions of dollars..well the franchises do, but the league is the means to doing that. They don't treat black players any different than white players, or yellow, or brown, or purple, it doesn't matter.
If they do something wrong...they get punished. If they play well..they get paid and stay on Goodell's good side.
Stop being a racist...
(terry_mickie...Why do you say that? Black people aren't slaves or anything, you're American citizens. And by saying America owes black people...You're an American..HELP YOURSELF...This country has doors to ANYTHING you want to do. If you feel like you have the short end of the stick, IT'S YOUR OWN FAULT!! The Jews had it way harder than black people ever did, yet I never hear them crying to a Jewish Jessie Jackson about people treating them unfairly or saying the world owes them.)

I'd like to see where a QB would be without his offensive linemen.
Vick got into trouble because he broke the law and committed some heinous acts. He has even admitted that he needs to grow up. He doesn't blame the NFL for his mistakes. Why should you?

Um if you take all them black players out you'll have fast athletic educated white players. The NFL treats all players white black brown green or purple the same. If a white guy such as Bret Favre killed dogs he'd go to jail too. If Peyton Manning was arrested as much as Pac Man He'd be banned too.
Stop being ignorant and racist. The black players get treated the same way as anyone else. Like A Human.... Damn and they say white people are racist, heres your proof of an uneducated racist black woman....L@TE
