almost every week i hear this guys name and cant understand why. i mean could it be cause of the whole alabama thing. croom has a god awfull record at missu but i still hear about his greatness.why is this

He is a record breaking coach as he is the first black head coach in the SEC which since most of the teams are in the south there is a ot of racism towards black coaches so to have a black coach in that conference is a big deal.

I just saw the comments about Coach Croom. You guys are kidding yourselves. He is a great ex NFL coach. He is only in his second full year and anyone who really knows college football or has played it at that level knows that it is not until the 4th year that you really see the change in a sorry program. He is waaaaaaaaaaay ahead of the curve in by far the toughest conference in the world. So to say that he is not a good coach or that he is only getting recognition brecause he is AA is ridiculous. Before he got there you hadn't heard a thing about that program since Jackie Sherle left. So he inhereted a God awful team, not made one.

The only reason you should be hearing his name is when others wonder how he still has a job. He's turned Mississippi State into the SEC West's version of Vanderbilt.
Skin color should not give him a free pass.

he has no QB. that dude threw like 5 or 6 pics at lsu. his defense is pretty good the offence jus aint doing anything.
