We are thinking of going to watch the Ricky Hatton fight in Las Vegas at the end of June. What is the dress code for boxing events in Vegas? As we will be flying from London, i don't want to carry to much. Will and suit and tie be ok? Or is it black tie / tuxedo? Or will most people just be in jeans and t-shirts?

I personally think he was robbed. Oscar pressed the fight, Mayweather however was only punching and running throuhgout the whole fight. I was slowly losing interest in the sport of boxing, now I have no desire to watch another fight. I'm sticking solely with UFC.

If you can go back in boxing history and pick a fighter from any division and put him in boxing's ranks today who would he be and would he dominate the division?
I would take Sugar Ray Robinson when he was a Welterweight. His dominence would be outstanding and would most definitely be an undisputed and undefeated champion.

Any other choices?

I think if he fights Shane Mosley its a wrap. Mosley will destroy this guy. I even believe Antonio Margarito has a chance, or he could move up weight again and fight Jermaine Taylor who would kill him. Those are the three fights around his weight that i think he would lose.

A case in point chuck giampa had mayweather winning by a couple of points, assuming he was correct that pbf outboxed odlh, then in another fight penalosa vs ponce deleon he scored it 119-109 for deleon when it was very apparent that penalosa outboxed his opponent who was just aggresive like odlh

Why is it that every time a fighter is not black and he is fighting a black fighter if the other fighter just finishes the fight he gets points and the judges try to give them the win

Rocky Marciano retired in in the spring of 1956, undefeated. Some have said there was no more serious contenders left for Marciano, so why not? Others have stated that Floyd Patterson was contemplating moving into the heavy ranks & that Marciano wanted no part of Patterson. Others said Rocky was at the end of his career due to his age of thirty three.
I have a suggestion of my own. A realativly new journeyman had been on the scene for a few years by the name of Charles "Sonny" Liston. Could it be that if Marciano really feared the "young" Patterson's skill & speed, that Rocky was "terrorized" by the behemoth named Liston? I mean by 1956 Liston's reputation as a "bad guy" was fearsome enough. Add to that Liston's power which easily matched both Marciano's/Dempsey's power & completly eclipsed the highly rated Joe Louis' power, & I'm thinking maybe Rocky thought..."best get going while the going's good!!! What do you think, age, Patterson, lack of contenders or "Sonny"?
