I loved Sugar Ray Leonard vs. Donny LaLonde in 1988. I was only about 15 then, and I loved the idea of Ray Leonard fighting a much bigger guy (even though they did that 168 catchweight thing).

I met Donny LaLonde a couple of years ago up in Winnipeg when I went to see him fight Virgil Hill. A really really cool dude. I thought Ray Leonard was nice too every time I've met him.

So just for me personally, it was a good fight, a fun concept, and I'm a fanboy of both. So it's my favorite.

Catch weight of 145.

Is Curry just too big and fast? Or would Chavez break his will in half like Lloyd Honeyghan did a year later? This was before Chavez got a case of the quits.

Just an odd hypothetical fight that struck me as interesting.

I guess I would go with Curry pulling away to win a 116-112 type of decision.

More specifically, how long can a champ go without defending his title? Lastly, why aren't there more unified titles and which title is the most prestigious?

My vote is for Julian Jackson.

For the first 10/11 years of his career he was a knockout machine. I don't know if I've ever seen anyone at 154-160 more heavy handed. At one point around 1993 he was 42-1 with 40 knockouts and a two division champion. Only a prime Mike McCallum beat him, and that was a war.

I think if Don King had bothered to market him, he would have had a superstar. Even if he lost a few fights, he hit so hard it would have made a lot of money. Especially in an era where USA Networks had boxing and the networks still showed a fight or two on occasion.

Would this match have taken place if both fighters would have remained at 130? I can not even to begin how good of a fight this would have been. Any outcomes of this superfight?

Any ideas where I might find my dad's career boxing record? He fought under the name of Tommy Ryan from at least 1947-1948. He fought in New Haven and Hartford, Ct. He was a featherweight.

After I watched Oscar's and Mayweather's fight...I was totally intrigued by boxing. I asked my parents if I could take boxing classes and I want to see if I like it or not. Boxing seems very fun and a hard sport, but since im a female i think it be totally awesome to do! I asked my dad if i can take it and he said that you could take boxing classes but first you need surgery on your nose. I was so terrified, i do not want to get surgery on my nose, so i was wondering do i really need to get surgery on my nose. (My dad thinks i need surgery on my to take the bone out so if i get knocked out i wont bleed)
