Basketball - June 2007

All Laker fans talk about is getting Kobe some help when he has a decent supporting cast. Odom, Walton, Bynum, and the rest of that team is decent.

Players like T-Mac, Ray Allen and a few other superstars roll with the hand they are dealt with and never whine and threaten to leave the team. And they were and are on some bad teams.
( Yes, I'm aware T-Mac has Yao but that's it. Before that he had nothing and never complained. They need key players to.)

What makes Kobe so damn special that he can go on a rant like this? What if every top star decided to do this?

The Lakers must not give in to Kobe. Let his rotten spoiled azz sit the season out. If they give in, this opens the door to more top players pulling the same stunt down the road.

I saw someone recently ask who the top 10 players were over the last 10 years and read some of the most riduculous responses. Hell, if you include Michael Jordan in this list you may as well include Charles Barkley, David Robinson, Karl Malone and Grant Hill. We're talking from the 97-98 season to the 06-07 season. If you weren't even playing or in at least 5 all-star games during this period, you're probably not one the 10 best players of this period. Frankly, Hill is the ony one of the above mentioned who nearly has an argument. He was great from 1997-98 to 1999-2000. Robinson, Jordan and Barkley played a couple of years or so during this period...... both were no longer great players. K. Malone was never a great player, only a very good scorer. You people who haven't watched the NBA prior to 1979 need to get a REAL clue about what's great. Wilt, Dr. J, Bird, Jordan, Barkley, MOSES Malone, Kareem, Magic and Duncan are what greatness is all about..... Ask B. Musburger & D.Stockton.

Everyone tells me if I do squats then I can dunk. But if it is that easy can't anyone who is a tall dunk. I am 5 foot 11 and 15 years old so will I dunk by doing squats.

Every one Thinks Portland should pick Oden just because he is a big man they and harder to come by. You know what they are harder to come by. Portland shouldn't make the same mistake the L.A. Clippers did by drafting Oliwakandi. Its not just him it seems that big men are overrated just because they are big men. You can also look a Detriot's dumb desicinon in 03. They picked Darko Milicic and not Bosh, Melo, Wade, Hinrich. We also can't forget overrated Kwame Brown. So when people say it dosen't mater who is better you should pick the Big man i say bullsh*t. You take the better player because Portland already has 5 big guys anyway.
