Not really, tony cant play defense. His mid shot while gotten better is not a real threat. His speed and penetration are good but his on the fly decisions and distribution still need work.
Williams on the other hand plays on the same level as Tony. He is foul prone but is a better distributor and very good at finding the open man. His speed rivals that of tonys and pentration while not as good as tonys will improve in a year or 2. He is a good perimeter defender and thats what you need when going against the Tonys and Terrys of the league. He could use some improvement in his defense in the paint but hen thats why you have Pfs and Center.
Plus I live in the same area as many spurs players, Tony is a jerk. An awesome player but a moron none the less. And yes I'm a Mavs fan and NO I dont hate the spurs rather I have a lot of respect for the Spurs.

Tony Parker... his game is more polished. If I were building for the future, then I could be swayed to take Deron.

Depends on how long I'm taking them for. Parker is a proven talent, while Williams isn't *quite* one (some players have a couple great years, then mysteriously fade). But Parker is older. If it's just for next season, I might take Parker. But if it's for the next decade, I'd probably gamble on Williams.

Deron Williams without a doubt. He is just as fearless as Parker. Can penetrate the paint. Can score. Is more of a pure point guard. Can hit the 3.In my opinion i'd take him.Put a better supporting cast with his leadership and you have an awesome team....give him some team mates that will move without the ball and attack the rim watchout.
