Garnett has a higher salary. KG should make $22 Million next year and Kobe is making $19.5 Million, so the Lakers must add another player, but once again, the Lakers refuse to give up their franchise player.

Why would they trade Kobe for Garnett. Its just like switching places, they are still going to play with a bunch of loosers. Kobe would get KG's bad bunch and KG would get Kobe's garbage. Does not make any sense, these guys want to win championships.

1) Kobe would never approve to go to Minnesota without KG. In fact, he may not even go there with KG given the size and visibility of the market.
2) If Minnesota or LA want to compete now, they'll keep their superstar and try to build around them. Swapping disgruntled stars just changes their bad supporting cast, it doesn't solve anything.
3) If Kobe keeps complaining and actually threatens not to play, they'll lose all leverage. No one will pay 100 cents on the dollar for someone that they have to move.

Without Garnett, Wolves have no good Power Forwards. Kobe is a Shooting Guard.

MINNESOTA HAS NO PLAYERS TO SURROUND KOBE, and plus kobe has the option to go wherever he want, he has a no-trade clause.

There are the most likely team he could be headed to:

Chicago,
New York,
Atlanta.

- Only the east, lakers wont give the any west options, because they dont want it hurt them in the west.

A couple of things one of them being Kobe is too hollywood for MN, and to be honest I don't think a whole lot of Wolves fans would care to have him on the team.

We've had enough crack-pots on the Wolves and Vikes to even consider getting another over-the-top ego maniac.

because it would not be an improvement for either team because both supporting casts suck. and neither team would want to trade within their own conference. that's why when major players are traded, they are usually traded to the other conference so you don't have to play them that often
