Is it just me, or is this guy an amazingly under rated player? He does everything! He defends, passes, shoots from outside, drives, cleans up garbage, rebounds and even washes your windows if you ask nicely. His game is so efficient and he is a very smart basketball player. Why isn't this guy getting more recognition? You have chumps like Richard Jefferson getting famous for the fact they can jump high and lose a lot of games. You have Antoine Walker get all sorts of recognition for having a shimmy shake and a HORRIBLE shooting percentage. Yet no one wants to acknowledge my man. Can we please get this guy some love????

Can a sport, such as basketball, be considered an art? This is a pholosopical quesition that I to answer. I just want to know how you felt about it and any examples that you might have.

Consider that an art has to have certain qualities such as:
1. Quality of work
2. Response of the audience
3. Intent of the artist

This are not the only qualities you can consider...

To all Kobe fans, let us understand the situation of all these Kobe haters, they don't know how to give respect to a top 5 all-time player, they just can't accept it. Kobe is rich and famous. Kobe 45% career shooter, 43% in playoffs.
MJ 49% career, 48% in playoffs.
Kobe 18.6 shots per game average over his career.
MJ 23.3 shots per game in his career.
This should mean that MJ is more of "ball-hog" than Kobe as far as TRUE stats are concerned.

I am not implicating that Kobe is better than MJ was. I'm just tired of hearing all this "Kobe is a ball-hog" crap.

He has no season mvps, no finals mvps, has never been out the 1st round without Shaq, has missed the playoffs since Shaq left L.A., has been having horrible season records since Shaq left L.A., was held scoreless in the 2nd half of a BIG GAME 7, blew a 3-1 lead in a series (but supposed to have a killer instinct), has only 1 scoring title (but supposed to be the best scorer), & his stats are debatable with others. Kobe has played 11 seasons & haven't achieved any finals or season mvps. I don't care what you guys say but that suck! MJ in 11 seasons had 4 finals mvps, 4 season mvps, 8 scoring titles, 4 nba titles, LED his team to a 72-10 record, & etc. If Kobe was a great player he should of accomplished more then what he already has. The only thing he got is 3 nba titles with no mvps to back them up. Kobe never led a team to a championship but you guys think he's great. There is players in the league who have titles with mvps to back them up. Kobe is not the best. He haven't proved it!

i went to nba website n check out this section called 'race to the mvp' by maurice brooks. i totally disagree with this guy. dirk and kobe are good mvp candidates...but nash?? wat is he thinking? he seriously needs a haircut every other week because the guy just looks plain out dirty. nba should ban him for licking his fingers too. he is passing the germs out to other players.
i hope people will open their eyes this time and vote either for kobe or dirk nowitzki

I know kobe's answered a myriad of questions when interviewers ask him about what it's like being compared to Michael Jordan, but i'm not sure what Jordan has said about Kobe other than "if i were guarding him, i would have fouled him until i fouled myself out than to let him score 81 pts on me."

i mean seriously, lets look at it. ACC was all hyped and had only 1 sweet sixteen team, same thing with the Big 10(not technically east coast but still closer to it than west). Everyone hates the west coast and underestimates all the teams. i mean the Pac-10 has 3 sweet sixteen teams (shoulda been 4 with Wazzu if they didn't choke =.=) Ive watched east coast and west coast ball and the west seems better to me. what are your guys thoughts on this?

The new Uniforms are being worn by Ohio St, Syracuse, and Florida. Next year all Nike schools will wear them...Form fitting tops, long pants (shorts??)...any one like??? The tops look great, but the shorts are baggy & long .... they resemble pajama bottoms !!!
