alright i just really need 2 go off! so i live in cleveland and was supposed 2 go 2 the game tonight against dallas. dirk is my fav. player and this was my first time 2 see the mavs. any how i bought tix off ebay and this mutha f*cka did not send them! said he never received the $$. bull$hit! the $ is not my point! i can't believe that i got played. sold out game and i'll see it on tv!!!

My opion is SI Sportsman of the Year is better. Why? Check it out!
1. It's a RARE award for nba players to achieve & the season mvp is achieved every year in the nba. Something that's rare to get you'll cherish it more.
2. If you won Sportsman of the Year it means that you've won a nba title that year & you must of done something that you'll never be forgotten. There been plenty season nba mvps that's been forgotten & never won a title.
3. There is only five nba players to win Sportsman of the Year. Russell, Kareem, MJ, T. Duncan, & D-Wade. Great players like Magic, Bird, Wilt, & Shaq failed to achieve this award. That's how much of a honor it is to have that award.
4. It's not only a nba award, it's a ALL sports award. To achieve that award means you've outshined everyone in every sport (including the season nba mvp).
5. Both are voted by sports PEOPLE. So there is no reason to say SI is nothing but a popularity contest, & if it was then those other greats should of won it!

He never was the main guy...he never shot the ball to get a rythum....he just came in and hit..game tying ..game winning..or series ending shots...without ever having the oppurtunity to to touch the ball much!....when you think about it ...it's amazing!

His offense will certainly go down as top 10. He hasn't won a defensive player of the year like Jordan yet, he hasn't led the league in steals like Jordan yet so his defense is still sub-par........

I mean even better than Phil Jackson. Phil was lucky to have guys like Jordan, Shaq and Kobe play for him. Sloan had Malone and Stockton...and now recently, not anyone of huge note. Yet here they are heading into the playoffs as a high seed. In fact, except for one year, they've maintained competitiveness without having to really "rebuild" Is this a testament to Sloan's great coaching?

i noticed that there is a girl who is a top contributor in basketball and i scanned through her answers and saw that almost all of her best answers have 5 or 6 votes for her. most questions are lucky to get 2 votes throughout all the answers! most of them everybody just votes for themselves one time and thats it.

this is a disgrace. if you need to feel like you are knowledgable about sports, than go study, watch games, become a real fan!

the worst part is that it is a girl. maybe she feels she needs to prove herself? even when she was the only person who answered the question she voted for herself twice, just incase somebody came in and voted "no best answer"

what a disgrace! doesnt yahoo have anyway of keeping track of people who do this? this girl votes for herself 5 or 6 times in every question. she has over 50% best answer! haha

i investigated this because she had a best answer that was "i have virginia tech", when like 8 other people had in depth answers.

I weigh 190 and I'm only 5'9. Am I overweight by basketball standards? Also is this the reason why so many basketball players get off the ground so high when it comes to jumping and dunking? Because they're light as a feather. I remember when I was 148 I was getting up easily, now that I have all this hard to lose muscle I've attained over the years. It's hard to jump higher. Is this the reason why they jump so high because they have a strict diet, and cardio exercise that they follow consistently? I'm seriously wondering if I lost the 30 pounds I would be able to gain about 6 inches of vertical jumping ability?

My question involves the timing of when the clock stops after a time out has been called. Lets say a team has posession of the ball. another team member away from the ball calls time out with 2 seconds to play. The referee acknowledges the timeout with .7 second to play. What time should be on the clock? In other words should time stop when the player calls the timeout or when the referee acknowledges and grants the timeout?

Is there a published rule for this?

When being a basketball player was there only focus, now they have court cases, Rap careers, and sneaker deals.
When they try there best every game, and don't only try against certain teams or certains days.
