I am from Chicago and now living in the LA area. I about fell out of my chair when a co-worker mentioned to me that Phil Jackson is part African American. Not that it bothers me in anyway at all. But, after the Chicago Bulls and all their wins and the press, I would never have guessed.

"Every hit, bump, fall you take in the NBA equals one less game you play in your career...that's why great defenders never last"

I see this a lot in college, but some teams will use any number of guards or forwards in a game (GGGGF/C, GGGFF/C, GFFFC, etc.) instead of going with the standard GGFFC format. I've always found this strange.

Who do you think is the best at pullin off some of the sickest dunks you've seen during the game? The most creative? The most powerful? Some one who goes through 3 or 4 defenders and comes up with a double clutch windmill slam???

I say Kobe Bryant

Kobe isn't great as you guys think he is. As matter of fact he's not even great. Kobe have played 11 seasons & have alot of 0's in his career. In 11 seasons great players have already made their mark with awards, records, & etc. If you think Kobe is great then explain this. This is what he's done in 11 seasons.
0 NBA MVPs
0 Finals MVPs
0 Defensive Player of the Year awards
0 Steal titles
0 Assist titles
0 SI Sportsman of the Year awards
0 Gold medals
0 NBA Rookie of the Year awards
0 NBA Finals records
0 NBA Championships as the franchise player ( without Shaq).
0 three point contest titles
0 six man awards (he once road the bench)
0 most improved awards
1 scoring titles (in 11 seasons..lol great scorer, huh?)
3 Championships as a role player (even Horry got 6)
A 81 point game with 2 ASSIST(81 is not the record)
Averaged 35 points per game in 1 season.
2 All-Star MVPs ( a game with no defense )
2 Dunk titles (who cares?)
Missed the playoffs in 2005!

I know the best players in the league are primarily black but why dont teams go with more white or european players. They obviously shoot better and play better as a team and just play smarter. Just look at the olympics and world games how the us cant win the gold anymore because of good team basketball with good shooters. they just play zone while our "great athletes" throw up bricks.

I'd have to go with Muggsy Bogues he had a good NBA career even though he was only 5'3.

Teams such as UConn had to replace their entire roster because of the NBA. This is coming from a die hard UConn fan, but I think basketball players should get a college degree first, just in case they do not make in the NBA. Just because you play basketball, does not mean you could throw your life away.

I think the reason everyone who hates duke is because there good and win with white guys. It gets annoying hearing all the crap that white guys cant play and then duke wins championships with them. Its all jeaolusy. The people who hate duke are the lazy white folks who never played basketball due to lack of work ethic. No one hated duke until blacks started playing it more. Not trying to sound racist but I cant beleive people would hate duke because of their white players.

Personally, it is tough to say who should leave. Afterall, almost everyone on the roster was either a freshman or a sophmore. There is still plenty of time for them to adjust into their roles. The only reason why this is an issue is because this was the worst season based on thier record in a long time, but I think UConn still played tough, but what do you expect woul happen when you have to replace an entire team thanks to the NBA.

I miss those 90's NBA Finals that MJ made his personal stage. When he hit those six 3 pointers in one half v.s. Portland....Wow! I was screaming, jumping & yelling everytime he shot! Those 3's just kept going in the basket!..Or the time when he did the switching of the hands v.s. The Lakers...I was in complete shock! I was wishing I could see that move over & over & over again! Forgive me guys for reminisicing but MJ was the greatest that ever did it! These guys today just don't deliver like MJ did in the finals. The closest thing to MJ was D-Wade in the finals last year! That's why I got to say that D-Wade is the best right now! Flash almost brought back some of them ole feelings that MJ use to give me back in the 90's. Watching MJ had me on a all-time high. I never seen anything like it. He had amazing flu games, great 7 game series v.s. the Knicks, clutch shot after clutch shot, & was just entertaining to see. The NBA isn't like it use to be!
