Basketball is a sport where you are born coordinated or not. I mean if you have some decent skills now then improve them and try out. But if you can barely dribble....

youd better shoot around 200 threes a day cause at 5'5 and an incoming sophmore, youll get bullied. and youd better get you handles good and your abilty to create oppurtunities for other people. but if you have a love for the game, go for it. i didnt take up my chance, and i regret every moment of it. trust me...if you DONT play, itll haunt you for the rest of your life cause after high school, your chances of college arent that great (esp at 5'5) and nba is even worse. just enjoy it while you can

Training will stunt your growth so you should wait until you finish growing.
And DJ- So what if you're 5'10? You haven't the slightest idea of how difficult it is to make it into the NBA.

i was 5'5 when i was 12,
but just try to jump higher, and steal and shoot good
chances are, u won't be able to rebound, but excel in everything else
