SHAQ. without a doubt yao wouldnt be able to beat my pet rock in a game of one-on-one if he wasnt tall. SHAQs got the heart the skills the talent and Charisma that you can build a team around. He makes players better me made D-Wade the star he is. Now D-wade wulda already become a star sooner or later but that rebounding precense down low gave wade a lot more oppotunities to shoot.

I would pick Shaq if it was for the next 2 to 4 seasons because i think he is running out of gas. Long run i would take Yao because he is a lot younger and has more upside than Shaq.

I think I would rather have Yao at this moment. Shaq only has a few good years left in him. Yao still has about 10 years to display his skills. Shaq is having his final remarkable season. Yao has great potential if he stays healthy. Shaq is also more injury-prone now that he is aging.

Shaq is more agile and a dominate low post player, and that's what you want at the center position. Yao maybe a better outside shooter but he doesn't defend the basket. Guards are coming in dunking and scoring on him and he's to slow footed. Shaq is a physical specimen and can affect the game even when not scoring a lot points......
I would choose SHAQ!!!!!!!

This question depends on their prime. In Shaq's prime day, of course, the Big diesel. But nowadays vs. Yao, I would said YAO MING of course. Shaq is on a decline, his career is coming to an end. Yao's just beginning.

Shaq for a year. Yao for a 10 year dynasty.
Shaq is a better defensive guy. he is strong and moves people with force.

Right now I'd take Yao just because he's a lot younger and has more of his career in front of him. If I could choose 'em in their prime, Shaq's the man!

probably Shaq. they are both not very durable, and Yao is better on the FT line, but i think Shaq has already established himself as one of the most dominant players to ever play the game.

Is this a question?!?!?!?!?!? Yao Ming is and All-Star, young agile, athletic, and is getting better. Shaq is old and is made of glass he cant go 2 weeks without and injury.
