Not so much. He still finds the balance between carrying the scoring load and setting up teammates. If he were selfish, how could he have two other players on his team averaging 19 points apiece?

Yea that's a pretty selfish thing to say. He's a good player and a decent person, but if i were a teammate and i heard that type of bullsh*t i would be pissed. It's like he would try for 50 when he already has 40 and his team is up by 20 in the 4th.

Arenas, is a good scorer, no doubt. But he's inconsistent, not great on D, and kind of a diva in the locker room and off the court. That's why even the Wizards' coach said that he was not a leader. So is he selfish? Not so much as others, but I think he's immature. He's another jock who got too much too fast and now too many people listen to him and take him seriously when he says just plain silly things. He just needs to muzzle it and actually try to live up to the level that he hyped himself up to.

He's a great player, but there are way too many times when his shot is off that he continues to shoot and shoot. He's too focused on scoring, and his personal stats more than his team winning. When a player is more focused on stats than the W they are selfish, and that's Arenas for you.

he's a ballhog yeah. he is a great player, but i hate his attitude. i just think he wants attention with these crazy predictions and how much he brags about himself on his blogs. i mean do you remember the blazers game when he predicted dropping 50 on them?? well he barely scored 10 himself and they lost, then he blamed their coach for it... some team player! as an individual player, i like him when he's out on the court and plays the game but the moment he opens his mouth, its time to look the other way and tune him out. i dont know if he cares too much for his team. the way he's playing these days it seems to me like he wants to get himself to the playoffs instead of his TEAM. he reminds me sort of like kobe starting out... selfish and waaaaay into himself trying too hard to prove his worth. its a shame but hopefully he'll learn to be a little less "confident" about himself and be more of a team player.

You were fooled.
When I scored 50 points, you thought that was about me, instead of the team.
But you're not a fool.
Are you?
