I truely believe that if the NBA got rid of David Stern, they could actually restore the richness of the game that it lacks so much. I love the game so I still follow the Association, but I completely understand why people dont watch anymore. Damn shame...

The College game to me is more exciting to watch than the NBA. They play with more passion and heart. However, the NBA is very fun to watch in its own way. I find myself enjoying individual players abilities when I watch the NBA, whereas with the college game I enjoy watching the teamwork aspect.

He may only be in his second season but for all the hype he got before he came out of high school he sure hasnt come close to living up to it.I mean come on the guy had a ESPN movie made about his life and was famous because his cousin is Stephon Marbury.

And no he shouldnt get defended with excuses like "Oh he's played on 2 sorry NBA teams" (Celtics & Blazers).

MINNESOTA - Often, Steve Nash is sainted for his two MVP seasons, but Shaquille O'Neal considers them to be "tainted."

After Miami's loss in Dallas on Thursday, O'Neal was engaged in an MVP discussion as it related to the Mavericks' Dirk Nowitzki. O'Neal questioned how the media picks MVPs and said the award has been "tainted" the past two seasons. O'Neal was the runner-up for Nash's first MVP in 2005.

O'Neal repeated "tainted" references to reporters.

I started working out but i just dont like bench pressing, but my friend said i need to start bench pressing cuz i never do bench press workouts. Im also trying to get my arms bigger for basketball season next year, so my question does bench pressing help with your chest and shoulders or does it help gain arm muscle too?

I don't know what is worse, the fact that Charlotte's 4 game winnings streak is the longest active one in the Eastern Conference or that I'm kind of disappointed because the fact that they are playing so well means that their chances for Oden/Durant are slim.

This offseason is key for the Cats. I think they have taken some undue heat because they have been patient, unlike many other NBA teams who just throw money at guys because they have cap room, however if this team is not contending for a playoff spot in its 4th season people will have to question them. I think the drafting of Adam Morrison was really one of their few mistakes of the past few yrs. Even the pick of Sean May (no hate on May, he is my boy, but the team needed a sg/sf way more than it needed him in that draft) has turned out to be a good pick.

For my fantasy basketball team i need more guards because i have only about 3 guards and the rest are forwards thats why im struggling in Stls and 3pt, Rudy has been playing phenominal the past 8 games averaging over 17pts and Ryan Gomes is just mediocre plus now that Paul Pierce is back he is taking less shots so should i pick up Rudy?

for a 7 footer in the nba, would you rather be

player A
has 3 point shot 45% , can handle the ball, has a 26" vertical, not really good defense, not really a good rebounder, has midrange game, is an average passer, good free thrower, not a shot blocker, has average post up game, more of a halfcourt game

player B
36" vertical, range 0-21 feet, averages 10+ rebounds per game, 30ppg, a good shot blocker, good defense, good freethrower, can handle the ball, average passer, a fast break player, a finisher, likes to dunk

Are they having a bad season this year considering these facts

1. they have lost all starters from last years team including two key bench players

2. they start 4 frosh and 1 sophmore

3. ther roster consists of the following
1 senior
2 juniors
2 sophmores
7. freshmen

and there senior and juniors combide play 14 minutes a game

4. They have a 20-9 (10-3) record so far and should go to the dance

But considering these facts do you feel they are ovverated and do not deserve there # 20 ranking or tourney birth

I'm going to make this brief cuz I'm not one of those people that likes to type an essay on a message board, but after watching the game there are two main reasons why I think Karl needs to be fired...

1) DEFENSE!!...The nuggets are horrible on defense...and that partly has to do with coaching....Look at the Mavericks sure they have Howard who's a great defender, but the whole attitude of this team on defense changed once they got Avery as their coach....Karl has never really been a defensive minded coach...sonics were alright when he was coaching but they had guys like payton, kemp, etc..they were good defenders....Every coach usually stresses defense....but there are coaches who talk about playing defense...and coaches like Avery, Larry Brown, etc. that won't tolerate not playing defense...we need a coach who will pound defense into these guys head...sure they don't have any great individual defenders...but they can still be good team defenders....there's a difference
