Its all in the eye of the beholder.
I am a bigger college fan due to just what you said the passion and the desire because they want to make that big splash to get to the next level and make more money or its their last years of the game and making the most of it.
NBA has too much showboating and crying to the refs and just not to entertaining when you have a 180lb pg knocking over a 7'2" 280 C, yeah like that can happen. Flopping is a must.
Plus the end with the Conference Championships and Tournament of 64 (well 65 now) getting down to the final two is great and not having to play the same team 7 games.
NCAA is more exciting in my opinion.

WOW, i cant believe any of you would say that college basketball is more entertaining than the nba. yes college has passion and doesnt have corruption like the nba BUT when u r talking about ENTERTAINMENT, the nba skiessss over college. the talent levels are astronamically different with the nba having way better talent. kobe lebron tracy gilbert would all score 80 on any college team. How can u say undersized slower guys are more entertaing than big fast high rising pure athletes. If this was asked 20 years ago it would be different because people went to school for 4 years so the competition was much better but barely any of the most skilled players stay for even 2 so U will never see the dunks, passes, or clutch shots in college that u see in the nba. Its not even a question, the nba is much better

This question hinges on three things, and whatever the NBA thinks, it is NOT points! College basketball is better, first, because the players take it as a game...as is always highlighted in college bball commercials, most college players "go pro in something other than [their sport]". They are playing purely out of love of the game, which is a susprising less prevalent attitude in the NBA. Secondly, the NBA's rule against screen defense, to me, does the opposite of its intention. While it means more points, it leeds to NBA games being full of easy points, and a lackadaisical defense that simply isn't as worth watching as the college game. As a result of the screen defense, as well, college games are often much closer in the end. And lastly, having 330+ college teams among many of which there is not a whole lot of disparity leads to good and close games on an almost daily basis!

Personally I think college basketball is more fun and exciting to watch because the players haven't yet been corrupted by money and play with more passion and loyalty. Also there is more parity and many more chances for upsets with so many teams. Plus March Madness is the only sports event that captivates most of the nation for an entire month. Not many businesses hold office pools for the NBA playoffs.

I prefer college sports in general. Don't know why (the talent and skill level is like night and day), but I enjoy/ look forward to a good college matchup more than a pro one.

as with football, college is more of a hunger and college is definitely that. But the pro level is the skilled level. Having said that, the college level is a team sport and regardless of what psition is taken, the pro level is more interested, by and large, with personal stats.

NBA. NCAA is just too less skilled and talented and the three is a high school three.
