I don't know what is worse, the fact that Charlotte's 4 game winnings streak is the longest active one in the Eastern Conference or that I'm kind of disappointed because the fact that they are playing so well means that their chances for Oden/Durant are slim.

This offseason is key for the Cats. I think they have taken some undue heat because they have been patient, unlike many other NBA teams who just throw money at guys because they have cap room, however if this team is not contending for a playoff spot in its 4th season people will have to question them. I think the drafting of Adam Morrison was really one of their few mistakes of the past few yrs. Even the pick of Sean May (no hate on May, he is my boy, but the team needed a sg/sf way more than it needed him in that draft) has turned out to be a good pick.

morrison has been horrible and a front line of Oden and Okafor would have been crazy defensively

you guys need a Durant though who could be a big time scorer

you never know what's going to happen with the lottery though

I'm of the thinking that they should do their best now, because players don't save franchises, teams do. Just look at the Utah Jazz. They have been without marquee players for some time, but have been competitive still. They haven't always made the playoffs, but the fans know they work their butts off and respect that, AND when you do that you learn how to play team ball. The whole really is greater than its parts. If your team believes that, than they can grow together into something stronger than just vying for worst overall and more chances in a lottery. Michael Jordan did his best, and if he didn't, his team would never had gotten to the playoffs in the mid-eighties, and they probably would have never gotten off the ground.
